ISO/IEC 29341-8-21:2008(E)enables the control, monitoring and configuration of IEEE 802.11 WirelessAccess Points for the unmanaged network space, namely residential and smalloffice LANs. It focuses on the core elements required for setting up wirelessnetworks, configuring wireless security, diagnosing and monitoring usageproblems, and setting location-specific information elements. The series ofISO/IEC 29341 publications defines GramE, an architecture for pervasive peer-to-peer network connectivity of intelligent appliances, wirelessdevices and PCs. It is designed to bring easy to use, flexible, standards-basedconnectivity to ad-hoc or unmanaged networks whether in the home, in a smallbusiness, public spaces or attached to the Internet.
